Meet Our Team

I graduated with a masters in professional counseling in 2020, and I have been in the mental health field for 9 years. I specialize in trauma and crisis. I have a good standing license with the Arizona board of behavioral health. I also have an active license to provide clinical supervision for associate level clinicians.

Trauma doesn’t need to define you or make you feel like a less version of yourself. As an EMDR trained therapist I guide you to the way of resilience so that the lingering feelings of impactful events don’t lead you to feel inhibited. I focus on your values and structure sessions in a way that upholds you to them in a nonjudgmental, yet honest way. My goal is to assist you with building insight within yourself so that you are able to navigate these paths feeling empowered. I offer a direct approach and help you identify any barriers that will happen along the way so you can overcome those barriers.

I limit my clientele to 4 at a time so I can focus on each individuals need thoroughly, and primarily work towards EMDR sessions. In the time that I have full bookings I will refer you to the other clinicians in office, who will also be overseen by me. you can email me and ask about my availability so we can talk next steps!

clinical supervisor

Hi, I'm Ellie Ortega! I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and teens who are navigating self-esteem challenges, self-harm, behavioral concerns, emotional overwhelm, ADHD, autism, and mood disorders. As a former school counselor, I understand how these struggles show up in everyday life, whether that is acting out at home, shutting down at school, or quietly feeling like they are not good enough. I also have experience working with adults to navigate depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other personality disorders. I'm passionate about helping people to feel empowered to create real, lasting change.

I aim to create a space where anyone can feel safe to be honest without fear of judgment or pressure. My work is trauma-informed, which means I recognize how past experiences shape present thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I am also an LGBTQ+ allied therapist and strive to create an affirming and inclusive space for all identities.

Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, especially when things have been building for a while. You might be noticing your child struggling to manage big emotions, your teen feeling withdrawn or stuck, or yourself feeling burned out, anxious, or caught in patterns that are hard to break. Whatever brings you here, you do not have to navigate it alone.
